MODAL SEQUENCES

Les séquences modales permettent de créer un accompagnement mélodique et inspirant, lorsque l'on joue sur un accord statique.

Au travers de ces exercices on va voir comment choisir les bons voicings en fonction de chaque mode, comment les repérer sur le manche de la guitare en fonction des positions d'accords de base (accords de voisinage), et enfin comment créer des séquences modales utilisables en toutes circonstances, et agrandir ainsi notre vocabulaire harmonique.

Modal sequences allow us to produce an inspiring and melodic comping, when playing over a static chord.

The following exercices will explain how to choose the good voicings according to each mode, how to localize them on the fretboard in the neighborhood of the basic chords positions (neighborhood chords), and finally how to create modal sequences usable in any situation, and grow up our harmonic vocabulary.
